gather here is an independently owned fabric and yarn store and sewing studio. In fact, it's the only stitch lounge in Cambridge! One unique quality of the store is its use of sustainable materials and yarns with natural fibers. By natural, we mean organic, recycled, and eco-friendly fibers! The studio also cultivates a community of artisans of all different levels.
For sewing, the store has maker spaces, sewing machines, and a Bernina Q 24 longarm sewing machine. Crafters of all levels can take workshops at the studio, from sewing basics to needle felting. gather here is open every day except Saturday.
If you love beach days at the Cape—or at least the idea of them—you'll love GrayMist. The studio specializes in Nantucket-themed crafts and artisanal baskets. GrayMist also offers craft classes and workshops, emphasizing Nantucket Basket Weaving. In the class, you can make a Nantucket basket or jewelry like a bangle or necklace.
The studio also has wool felting, scrimshandering, and special holiday workshops. The shop also offers basket-making materials. GrayMist is open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday to Saturday, and until 4 p.m. on Sundays.
